About Sugar
Meet Sugar, an exuberant and fun-loving female Chihuahua/Fox Terrier ("Chifoxy") born on 3 December 2024. She weighed 3.9 kgs on 12 February and has put on a little weight since then, but is definitely destined to be a small dog.
Known for their intelligence and eagerness to learn, the Chifoxy makes an excellent companion for people seeking a lively, entertaining and loyal dog. They’re very courageous and will protect their families valiantly. Because of their strong will, you have to be firm with a Chifoxy, otherwise they'll "rule the roost".
A great little watchdog, Sugar has settled into her busy rural foster home and shows all signs of becoming a super little companion dog. She's an adaptable girl, just as happying cuddling in the lounge as running around the yard with the "big" dogs.
She is good with children, though perhaps too bouncy for little ones. Although she'd not intentionally hurt a child, her puppy toenails are a little sharp on very soft skin. A visiting four-year-old child had a great time playing with her on the weekend.
Sugar loves other dogs, especially Labradors! And is happy to ignore cattle and horses. She's untested with cats.
She'd fit into any home that appreciates the joy of having a spirited little dog as part of the family.
If you'd like to express interest in this lively pup, please submit an online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/
Her adoption fee includes the cost of desexing when age appropriate. Terms and conditions apply.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
