About Twistie
Meet Twistie, a gentle and tender-hearted soul who is searching for a new family to call his own. Twistie has grown up amongst his feline siblings, but he has come to realize he thrives best as the only cat in the household. Initially a bit timid, Twistie has a shy disposition that quickly transforms into a warm and loving nature once he feels comfortable in his environment and trusts those around him.
Twistie's gentle demeanor makes him the perfect companion for someone seeking a loving, devoted pet. His heart is full of affection, ready to share with the right family willing to give him the time and patience he needs to blossom. Once Twistie comes out of his shell, his charming and loving personality will shine through.
Twistie would do best in a serene household where he can receive the love and attention he deserves. He may take some time to adjust, but once he does, he will reward you with unconditional love and companionship. If you’re interested in meeting Twistie, please visit our Adoption Centre at 17/39-41 Corporation Circuit, Tweed Heads South. We are open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. Alternatively, you can express your interest in adopting Twistie by completing our online adoption form. Twistie looks forward to meeting his loving new family soon!

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
