About Teal
Meet Teal, a gentle soul who will steal your heart with her shy yet immensely loving nature. This lovely lady forms a strong bond with her mother, Wren, making them quite the inseparable duo. Together, they navigate the world with a comforting sense of companionship and love. While Teal may be a tad reserved initially, it doesn't take her long to seek affection, rewarding your patience with her sweet, loving demeanor.
Teal prefers a serene environment free from sudden noises and movements, where she and Wren can flourish. Her shyness is not a hindrance but a charming aspect of her personality, enhancing the precious sense of trust and love you'll build with her over time. By welcoming Teal and Wren into your home, you're not just adopting pets - you're inviting two beautiful spirits to share in your life's journey.
If Teal has captured your interest, you can meet her at U17/39-41 Corporation Circuit, Tweed Heads South, from 10 am to 3 pm. For a more seamless adoption process, please complete our online adoption expression of interest form at https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/. Teal and Wren are waiting patiently to meet their perfect family!

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
