About Luna
Meet Luna, a lovely 3-year-old dog who is still on her journey to trusting humans fully while never failing to charm with her endearing personality. Initially shy, Luna is working to build her confidence; she might bark when meeting new people but quickly wags her tail once she feels comfortable. Since arriving at her foster home, she has made impressive strides, but continued training and patience from her new family will help her grow into the wonderful, confident dog she's meant to be.
Luna thrives in a serene household and would do wonderfully in a family with school-aged children who understand her need to warm up at her own pace. Once comfortable, she loves playing with toys, showing her playful and affectionate side. Luna enjoys the company of other dogs her size and finds comfort in having a canine companion. When she finally lets her guard down, she becomes an absolute snuggle bug, sleeping blissfully under the blankets in bed and lounging on the couch for a cuddle.
Having Luna around is like having a shadow who loves companionship. She's fully toilet trained, a testament to her intelligence, and delights in the simple pleasures of life, like a comfy spot next to you on the sofa. While she is a sweetheart, she does get a bit anxious if left alone for prolonged periods, which leads to her rearranging toys and occasionally shredding papers left within reach. With time, patience, and understanding, Luna will only continue to grow more comfortable with her surroundings and the humans who she so desperately wants to love and trust.
If you're looking for a loyal companion, Luna, with her sweet nature and potential for growth, is eager to find a family that will give her the loving patience she needs. She promises to reward you with endless love, gentle cuddles, and a bond that only comes from helping a dog blossom into her best self.
Medical notes
3 year old Luna is desexed and microchipped. She is up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heartworm prevention. Annual C5 vaccination will be due 18th July 2025.
She has had a dental and full health check including bloods and is in good health. Luna has been in care for a long time as she was very timid and would not have been able to do a meet and greet. She is now a much more confident girl after spending time with other chihuahuas in a regular household.
