About Heather
Hi there, my name is Heather!
I’m a sweet little Irish Wolfhound, and while I might be small for my breed, I’ve got a big heart and plenty of love to give. I’m still learning about this big, wide world, and it can be a little overwhelming at times. I’m a bit anxious in new spaces and situations, but with patience, I can grow more comfortable over time. I have spent a lot of time in the shelter now, and have fell into a wonderful routine of sleeping, eating, hanging out with the staff at lunch, cuddling and sleeping! I really like the guys here, they love giving me a cuddle and scratch, and they keep telling me that they can't wait until I'm in a home and that I'll be such a good dog, will you let me prove it?
I’m clever and I love to learn, especially when there’s food involved (I really, really love food!). I already know how to sit and drop, and I’m keen to learn more tricks, too. I’m looking for someone who can help me keep growing by using positive reinforcement and lots of patience, because I’m still figuring out how to trust everything and everyone around me. It would mean a lot to me if you’re the kind of person who can take things slow and let our bond grow naturally. I can be a bit shy of new people at first, but once I feel safe, I promise I’ll show you just how sweet and cheeky I can be.
If you’re someone who can take your time with me, help me continue learning, and appreciate all the sweetness I have to offer, then maybe I’m the one you’ve been looking for. I can’t wait to meet you and start our journey together!
