On Hold
About Raphael
Despite poor Rafael's unfortunate resemblance to an unmentionable historical figure, he is absolutely the sweetest boy. If you're not patting him he will bury his nose under your hand to make sure you do pat him. He loves to snuggle with you in bed and will sleep right up against you if you let him.
He's a lap cat too, and loves making sure that anyone who is temporarily sitting down stays that way for as long as possible.
He's a major blepper, and will often sit with his tongue poking out, making him look even sillier than he already does.
He's a total guts and races around you like a maniac if he thinks you have food he might want. He eats as quickly as possible so he can then go and steal the food from his brothers that they haven't gotten to yet.
Despite this, he's actually great with other cats. He's very patient with the older cats in his foster home, gently trying to persuade them to love him.
He's great with kids as well and let's all the resident teenagers pick him up and carry him around. There are also two dogs in his foster home and they don't faze him a bit.
He's a smoochy, generally calm, friendly little guy who would really be ideal for any home.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Had mild cat flu on arrival, but has now recovered.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
