About Onyx
Meet the gorgeous 1yr old little miss onyx.
Onyx is a really cute, cuddly little girl with an excitable wacky side too.
Onyx is deaf and she doesn’t have full vision. She struggles to see some things that are not infront of her and that are at distances but that doesn’t stop her.
She loves running in the yard and being happy, playing with toys, a game of tug, morning zoomies, falling asleep on you lap, but her favourite thing is laying in the sun chewing on the biggest marrow bone you can find.
Onyx would make a really good companion for a single person, couple or a family with kids who are dog savvy, in an only dog home.
Onyx will probably struggle with anxiety a bit in a new environment for a week or 2 until the relationship and trust is built but during this transition period her foster carers are dedicated to supporting her new owners to teach you all her hand signals and help should any problems arise.
She comes to you with a hand signal, if she can’t see you her recall is accomplished with the aid of a vibration collar or by stomping on the ground if you have timber floors or something she can feel the vibrations thru.
All applicants will be contacted for a 100% honest chat as this little miss has had afew moves in the past and will only be moved 1 more time.
Your experience level with dogs isn’t important as everyone can learn, however patience and the dedication to continue helping this little ball of joy to feel loved and safe with you due to her vision and hearing is a must.
She is a little pocket rocket whos short but stocky!
This little girl has stolen everyone’s hearts including those of multiple people who don’t like dogs, so click that apply button so you can come meet this little cutie. She’s waiting to meet you.
Medical notes
Deaf
Some vision loss. This effects her peripheral vision. Her central vision is good.
Due to her while colour will need sunscreen when outside in hot weather.
She has a heart murmur, but this currently has no effect on her health.
The above heath concerns are due to her being a double Merle, which is when 2 merle dogs are bred.
