About Darby
Meet Darby, the charming former farm cat who's ready to settle into a warm new home. Initially, he may be a bit hissy as he adjusts, but once he's settled, he transforms into an incredibly friendly and affectionate companion who loves to be petted.
His unique past gives him an endearing character, complemented by an old ear injury that adds a touch of rugged charm.
Darby's previous life on the farm honed his skills as an excellent mouser. His alert nature and keen senses make him an asset in a home where unwanted critters may appear. He's comfortable sharing space with other cats, making him a great addition to multi-cat households. However, due to his preference for a quieter environment, a home without dogs would suit him best.
His journey from farm life to family life has made him unique, enriching the bond you'll share with him. Darby's gentle nature will captivate your heart, and his fondness for human interaction ensures there's never a dull moment with him around.

*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
