Chase

Chase is a highly energetic and intelligent working breed, always looking for a job to do and full of enthusiasm. He thrives in an active family environment where he can receive plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Very food-motivated, Chase already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more. He excels at catching treats in the air and would benefit from enrichment activities like kong wobblers, puzzles, snuffle mats, and milk bottles. Crate training would be helpful to provide him with a quiet space to rest and learn to relax. Chase enjoys going on long sniffaries, taking his time to explore and absorb the smells around him. He can be snatchy with treats, so working on impulse control and reinforcing cues like 'wait' and 'leave it' will be important. Chase is best suited for a family with older teens who can be involved in his training. He is social and playful with other dogs, but may react to those that are reactive, so a social and playful female dog would be an ideal companion. Meeting other dogs at the time of adoption will help ensure the right match.
