About Sammy STA013142
Meet Sammy, an incredibly ruggedly handsome guy with a soul reflective of the many stories his journey holds. Though his past few years haven't been easy—having had to fend for himself more than any feline should—Sammy's resilient spirit and tenacity have brought him face to face with a promising new chapter.
This noble guy carries with him the familiar aura of an explorer, capable of not just brave independence but also of eventually sharing his heart with those willing to earn his trust. While he has been on high alert for quite some time, Sammy is slowly showing signs of wanting to relax and embrace the comfort of a peaceful home.
Sammy is looking for an understanding human who will respect his need for space while gently guiding him to realize that love and safety are always within arm’s reach. He needs a quiet, serene home environment, free of children and canines, to help him transition from his vigilant past to a future steeped in trust and companionship.
The ideal companion for Sammy will be patient and kind and will strive to understand and appreciate the little victories along his journey. Sharing your home with Sammy means embarking on a rewarding journey where witnessing his growth and unfolding trust will be the most fulfilling of adventures.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
