Calling all staffy lovers to Meet our stunning girl Athena – Your Loyal and Loving Best Friend! Athena is a 2-year-old English Staffy mix ( 26 kilos) with a heart full of love and a personality that will brighten your days. This sweet girl adores her humans and thrives on affection, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend. With her big, soulful eyes and happy wagging tail, she’s sure to steal your heart in no time
! Favourite Things Athena’s favorite activities include snuggling up with her people, playing with her toys, and enjoying a good belly rub. She absolutely loves playing tug and will happily engage in a fun game whenever she gets the chance. She’s also a big fan of treats—especially pig’s ears—and will gladly settle down with one for a tasty snack.
Interaction with Humans Athena is a people-lover through and through! She can be overly exuberant at times but will sit on command. She is just such a happy goofy boof head She thrives on attention and is happiest when she’s around her favorite humans. Whether it's lounging on the couch or going on an adventure together, Athena will be right by your side, soaking up all the love you can give. Obedience and Training
Athena is amazing at the word sit, she will plonk her bottom on the ground so quickly if you have a treat to offer We have been working hard with Athena to improve her loose lead walking. She can be a strong girl when shes excited but there has been significant improvement. She will need a owner who is capable of walking a fairly strong dog. Positive reinforcement (especially if treats are involved!).
Animal Social Skills Atehna is full of exuberance around other dogs and gets excited at times sometimes too much for other dogs. We have been teaching her to be dog neutral on walks so walking past without having to say hello. She is currently living as an only dog. She has been tested with another dog and is social but just a bit over the top so introductions are best started with a walk to start with, she is interested in play but as a typical staffy can be intense and boisterous Because of this, she is best suited to a single-dog home where she can be the center of attention. Independence While Athena adores being with her people, she can also handle some alone time. She’ll be happiest in a home where she gets plenty of love and attention but can settle comfortably when left alone for short periods. She will bark at times if there are things happening around the neighbourhood. She spends time outside while carers are working and would love a doggy door if you are not home so she can be inside
Bathing, Hygiene, Sleep, and Toilet Training
Athena is a well-behaved girl inside who is fully toilet trained. She’s happy to sleep through the night in her own bed and enjoys being pampered with a good brushing session. While bath time might not be her favorite, she’s a good sport and will tolerate it for the sake of staying clean. Exercise Athena enjoys her daily walks and loves sniffing the daily news. In addition to walks, Athena loves a good game of tug and will enthusiastically play with her humans. She has plenty of energy to burn and would love a home where she gets regular exercise and playtime.
Home in a Perfect World
The perfect home for Athena would be one where she’s the only pet and can enjoy all the love and attention she deserves. She’d thrive in a household that can provide her with structure, continued training, and lots of cuddles.
