Meet Lily, a beautiful and sweet-natured three-year-old kelpie/boxer mix with soulful eyes that will capture your heart.

Though a bit timid, she's on a journey to discover that the world can be a safe and loving place. With belly rubs ranking high among her favorite things, Lily is a true cuddle enthusiast.

Her current companion is a dog-savvy foster cat sister, and they enjoy curling up together at bedtime.

Lily's ideal home would be one with gentle, calm people who are willing to continue her training and boost her confidence.

While Lily was raised alongside a cat and a terrier/maltese dog, her previous experience with dogs was limited to running along fence lines, barking at passing pups.

This has led to some fear-reactive behavior, needing more work in this area. She is muzzle trained, and with the right guidance, she might even enjoy walks alongside another calm canine friend. Her training will continue with Natalie from
Dialogue Dog.

Her new family would need to be patient and give her time to adjust at her own pace, potentially opening new adventures for her down the line.

Lily has shown good manners with farm animals on lead, responding to commands like "leave it" and "no." She's bright and generally gentle, indicating a promising future with consistent training. When it comes to new humans,

Lily can be wary, particularly of noisy environments, but she is never aggressive. Instead, she prefers to keep her distance when comfortable , responding with soft "woofs."

Despite her shyness, she’s been nothing but gentle with children, although she tends to avoid loud play.

An energetic dog who enjoys soccer, ball-chasing, and tug-of-war, Lily would make an excellent running companion. She has settled into a routine of 2-3 daily walks, though she handles occasional downtime just fine.

Lily sleeps soundly alongside her feline friends and isn't a picky eater, enjoying an array of foods from biscuits to raw meats and veggies.

Lily would flourish in a home that offers love, patience, and understanding, particularly one with a backyard where she can explore her surroundings. With her loving nature and keen intelligence,
