Max

Max's requirements for his new home:
- Another desexed energetic and playful dog.
- Toys and toys
- People looking for an affectionate dog that loves to be close to you and on your lap.
- To be allowed inside when his people are home, so he can shower them in love.
- No young children because he gets excited and keen to love on them and can knock them over, but teenages would be great.
- An active lifestlye, more than a daily short walk.
- A good sized full fenced yard. Max will not be happy in a small yard.

Max just loves to play with toys, squeaky toys, soft toys any kind of toys! He loves running around and playing with people and kids. Max loves water! He loves the hose and loves to be squirted with it! It isn’t just toys Max loves it’s everyone! Max sees everyone as his best friend. Max looks for and loves attention from his peoples, for him the best thing in the world is being with his people, whether that is on an adventure, gardening or following you form room to room. Personal space isn’t his strength, as he just wants your love and affection. Max loves children, though he doesn’t know his size and when excitable he can bump into them on knock them over. He would love to live with teenagers that are outdoor type kids.

Max is still a bit nervous travelling in the car but loves going for walks and is great to walk on the lead, most of the time he is either walking behind his people or beside them. He enjoys checking out the environment smelling and looking at everything.

Now, Max is true to his breed, he is energetic and will need more in life than just a short walk once a day, he would be a great running or hiking buddy, a willing contestant in dog sports or just enjoying life with a very active family. As is known with his breed Max is a fast learner and is easy to train with him being food motivated. Max has learnt to sit and lay down and is ready and willing for more. He is crate trained and has lovely manners, he will sit to come out of his crate or to come inside the house. Max will go outside to the toilet but needs regular access to the yard.

During the day Max is either out lounging on the back deck or inside following his people around. At night Max will happily go in his crate with his teddies and a treat.

Max has a female and male dog in his foster home and loves to play with them and enjoys their company when people are busy doing their things. Max lives with chickens ducks, a bird and turtle and has shown no interest in them when they are in safe enclosures.

From Max’s foster carers - Max is the best, he is super loving, friendly, affectionate, curious playful and happy! He loves to lick and cuddle his people and is smart. Max has calmed down a bit since being in our care but he still is energetic.
