Meet Bridget,
Bridget is a young, happy-go-lucky pup who is ready to take on the world with her forever family. Whether your home is a lively, bustling household or a quiet, cozy retreat, Bridget will fit right in - she’s as adaptable as they come! Bridget is affectionate and loves engaging with people. She’s the kind of dog who will brighten your days with her enthusiasm and shower you with love every chance she gets.
She’s a social butterfly who loves making new friends, whether they’re humans or fellow doggos. Playful and curious, Bridget is always up for an adventure. Whether it’s a walk around the suburbs, a trip to the park, or a fun training session, she’s eager to be right by your side.
Speaking of training - Bridget is one smart cookie, too! She has already mastered sit, down, crawl, and roll over - and she’s currently working on perfecting her loose lead walking. With her eagerness to learn and love for treats, she’ll be a pleasure to continue training - and will a little addition training Bridget could be the type of dog that you could take to a dog friendly café or social event...
If you’re looking for a sweet, social, and smart doggo to join your adventures (or cuddle up on the couch after a long day), Bridget is waiting to meet you!
Dog-friendly? Yes, but she prefers dogs that will respect her space. She likes to interact with other dogs that aren't too rough, preferring dogs that are calm & gentle.
Cat-friendly? Unknown - we haven’t been able to test, so it’s up to her new family to introduce her carefully.
Kid-friendly? Absolutely! She’s open to meeting children of all ages.
Considerations:
Bridget would love a yard, with high secure fencing, so that she can play in it safely. She dreams of a home with toys - lots of toys! As well as daily exercise/walks to keep her body physically fit & her mind mentally fit. Treat/food puzzles are a great tool and great way to keep active puppy minds engaged!
Bridget is starting to explore her surrounds & is growing in confidence each & every day. However, it would be a wise move to invest in a crate & start crate training. This type of training is not only a highly valuable skill to have but is a great skill for any dog to learn and know.
Bridget should be enrolled into puppy training classes as soon as she is adopted. These classes & training will set her up for life and will allow her to learn social skills & etiquette, as well as define her manners. These classes & training will also teach her how to appropriately interact with other dogs as well as other animals & people. These training classes will also assist her new owner, as they can both learn new skills together.
If you've got other animals at home, that's okay, just make sure that they have a slow & controlled introduction.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
