About Russel and Sullivan Need A Home Together
Sad story with a happy ending. Sullivan - a pure blood line jack russel terrier whose mum was a champion in the royal melbourne show. Adorable nature. Russel - a wonderfully warm collie x heeler who loves to play fetch. Both were surrendered to the pound due to a divorce. The pound separated sullivan first which broke their hearts. Even the ranger said it was hard to get sullivan out of the cell without his mate. A week went by. I found russel and put him in foster care. By then he had slipped into a mild depression (yes dogs get sad too). Then presto !!!! a call from the pound saying sullivan was back because he had been miserable and always trying to run away - trying to find his friend. We all agreed. They will never be separated again. $350 includes both dogs. Foster carers description of russell collie x "
he is quiet when i am home, he follows me everywhere he is also perfect with the cats, just ignores them. Russell is a gentleman, he waits for me to enter or exit the door first, doesn't push through. He loves having a game with the ball, he brings it back and if he drops it a little too far away, i just point to it and he picks it up and drops it closer. He loves a walk down at the park, is very good and returns when called. Saturdays, i take him to the shopping centre, i tie him to the bike rack, he sits quietly waits until i return, no barking or crying, he is very patient. Russell loves a cuddle and wants nothing more than to be someone's best friend who will throw the ball for him, take him for a walk or just sit and watch the tv together"
foster carer's description on sullivan
"sullivan is a wire haired fox terrier. I wasn't much of a little dog fan but this little guy has won me over. He is very gently when taking food from your hand. He is quiet, doesn't bark unless there is someone at the door. He loves playing ball although not that good at bringing it back, he prefers a game of chasey or perhaps a tug-o-war. He enjoys his walks and loves to frolic off the lead through the bush sniffing. He comes back. . . . Eventually especially when i walk the other way pretending to go home. He is a little naughty but in a sweet way. He is very, very gentle and sneaks up on my lap in the evening for a snooze. The cats don't like him because he is a typical terrier and chases them if they run, their own fault. . . Sullivan would be great with someone home most of the time. A bone or chew toy would keep him happy the rest of the time. He is a great little guy "
