About Sadie
Calling any water babies out there! I’m your girl! I’m your best friend and partner in all water activities!
I am a 1 year and 6 month old Cocker Spaniel who has come into care due to personal reasons from my previous owner – they loved me very much and wanted to make sure that I went to the best home possible!
So my foster mum has said I need to tell you about me…………….
1. I love water
2. I love humans
3. I love water
4. I love soft toys
5. I love snuggles
6. I love water
Now I need to say from the get go – I’m a water baby and love to splash in the water bowl, pool, pond, rivers etc I would love a home where my human has the same passion – I would happily let you splash in my water bowl!
I have long ears and you will often find my ears have gone into the water bowl when drinking but I will give you a cuddle or snuggle anyways!
I also love humans and would love a home where someone is home more often than not but wants to involve me in their day. (They can work from home – I would be so helpful while they work!) I would be more then happy with a family who does shift work so there is someone home to hang out with me – I don’t have separation anxiety but I do have FOMO (Fear of Missing out).
I love to be with my humans, helping them, snoozing next to them etc…
I apparently have two speeds - wiggly or still - apparently my personality is of fun, love and being around my humans.
When I see my humans I do like to wiggle my butt (yep bet your thinking of that wiggle it song!)
SI have some lovely manners and can sit and be very gentle with food, I have good recall (unless distracted) and just a genuine lovely personality – I know this because I heard the rescue people discussing me!
I can walk on a lead well ………. Okay maybe not well for the first few minutes I’m a bit of a freight train but it’s just cause it’s so exciting doing things but If I get back into the routine of walks / running daily that will improve asap!
I currently with another foster dog – I love playing and chasing ball but also would be very happy as a only dog but I would need a family who would play with me, take me places and basically make me such a big fun part of their home.
I love to sleep on my human’s bed or a dog bed in the room with them.
I am toilet trained
I have lived with a cat before – I so wanted to be friends but that cat didn’t’ want to be my friend – I did try every day offering my tennis ball or saying hi to them real close – if you have a cat hopefully they will want to be my friend.
I am good around kids – I mean why would I not – it means attention on me and play time! Also snuggle time while watching tv.
So I might sound like a lot of work for some, I’m really not - I'm just a happy go lucky wiggle bum girl who thinks like is a fun adventure and wanting a home where I’m very much part of the family and involved with them.
I have a beautiful shiny coat - and that means yep you guessed it grooming and regular upkeep - so please be mindful if applying for me - this will be a must!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
