About Sage
Introducing Sage, a nearly three year old Cocker Spaniel cross girl. Sage looks more like a Cocker, specially in the face and head. She has a gorgeous short shiny red coat so is easy care. Sage prefers to spend her time just hanging out on a couch or following her humans around.
Sage and her sibling Bluebelle are both available to good forever homes. Sage will alarm bark when she hears strange sounds, but with time to settle into a new environment we expect that will reduce, but she does have a nice big bark so is good “guard” dog.
Sage is good with people, children and other dogs, although she needs gradual introduction to new dogs. Sage is house trained and use the doggy door. She has been sleeping in the kitchen quietly. She has come from a rural property and we are told she is good off-leash. She loves going in the vehicle and doesn't appear to be competitive over food.
Sage is a little independent, more inclined to lay around the backyard as long as she knows where you are. although she does love attention, she’s happy to sit close by and watch what’s going on. She is quite laid-back. Sage has been known to try and reach food on the kitchen bench!
Overall Bluebelle will make a beautiful companion for some lucky family or person.
Sage and Bluebelle are being fostered by a mature couple and are obedient and easy to manage although we haven’t been walking them on lead, they have been very eager on our trip to the vet for vaccs updates so will probably need someone strong or the use of a gentle leader or Luca lead.
