Hi there, I’m Regis! I’m an 11-year-old Maltese cross with a bit of sass and a whole lot of love to give.

I weigh 12kg and I’ve been living with my foster family for the past couple of months, alongside three other big dogs. While things have been okay here, I do boss around the other dogs in the house and get very possessive of toys, treats, and humans of the house. So, I think it would be best if I was your only dog.

I absolutely love going for walks, playing with toys, and getting treats (if you’re holding a treat, I’m your best friend). When I’m really excited – like when the leash comes out or dinner is getting ready – I’ve got this adorable happy bark that’s sure to make you smile. I’m a bit of a velcro dog, though, so get ready for me to follow you around the house like your shadow. I’ll be right there, no matter where you go!

A few things to know about me: I can be a bit grumpy (who isn’t sometimes, right?) and I’m not a big fan of having my feet, face, or bum groomed – so you’ll need to be patient with that. I can also get a little resource-guard-y when the other dogs are around (hence why I would prefer being the only dog in the house). I also have a few medical conditions you need to know about before sending in your application:

* I might have a bit of bronchitis, so I’ll need some vet check-ups and medication every now and then, but I’m worth it.
* I also have a level 3-4 heart murmur which will requiring monitoring, though no meds are needed for that right now.

The last thing I'll say is this: I’m a people dog, so I need 24/7 access to go in and out of the house – I’m not an outside-only kind of guy. If you think we could be a great match, go ahead and reach out – I’m ready to find my forever home!
