About Lyra
Lyra’s story began with a loving family who adopted her and her sister, Khaleesi, as kittens through CPoM. For five happy years, they shared a home, but due to changes in their owner’s circumstances, Lyra and Khaleesi were surrendered back to CPoM. Now, Lyra is ready for a fresh start with a new family who will cherish her gentle nature.
This stunning tabby-and-white girl has an unmistakable brown spot on her white nose, adding to her unique charm. She is soft, fluffy, and absolutely gorgeous. Though she can be a little timid at first, once she builds trust, Lyra is incredibly affectionate. She loves pats, ear scratches, and being near her favorite people. She may not always demand attention, but she enjoys quiet companionship and will often follow her humans around the house.
Lyra is happiest in a calm environment where she can feel safe. She enjoys having quiet hideaway spots, such as a wardrobe, behind a curtain, or under a bed, to retreat when things get too noisy. She likes to explore her surroundings and be involved in family life on her own terms. While she isn’t a fan of being picked up, she will gladly join you on the bed—just be sure to give her plenty of space, as two in the bed might be too much for her!
A fan of playtime, Lyra loves chasing ribbons and long furry toys. She enjoys her food but isn’t a guts—she prefers to graze at her own pace. While she gets along well with her sister Khaleesi, they are not strictly bonded, so Lyra can be adopted on her own or with Khaleesi if you’re looking for a ready-made pair.
If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate cat who will reward your patience with trust and companionship, Lyra could be the perfect match!
