About Happy Jack
Introducing Happy Jack!
Happy Jack is a Staffy x... maybe Boxer? born approx 25th June 2024.
Happy was brought into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray and his owner didn't come forward to collect him. When he came in we noticed he had a sever health condition called Hypospadia, which should have been fixed with surgery when he was younger, but his owners neglected to do this. We will get him the surgery he needs.
Since being at the facility Happy has been incredibly affectionate with staff & volunteers. He's a very gentle & quiet boy who desperately wants to be loved, however he is shy about asking for it with new people. Once he's warmed up to you he will sit down next you and lean his body against you so you can wrap your arms around him. He also enjoys a gentle kiss and will never say no to a treat.
*******Happy Jack tested very well with other dogs & he's incredibly playful with them. We believe Jack would be suitable to live with another dog, or be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
*******Happy Jack seems unfazed by cats & pocket pets. We believe he could be suitable to live with smaller animals if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Please note that our small animal testing is done through enclosures and we cannot guarantee how our animals will react to smaller animals running in front of them.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Happy Jack will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Happy Jack has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Happy Jack's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration. Happy Jack is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.
To enquire more or to meet Happy Jack, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Happy Jack is looking forward to meeting you & he is located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
Happy Jack has been diagnosed with Hypospadia and will receive surgery to correct this issue.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
