About Poppy
**** to apply for Poppy please visit our website at www.animalrescue.org.au to complete an Adoption Enquiry Form ****
Meet Poppy, a one-of-a-kind pup with a heart full of joy and an abundance of gentle affection to share. This charming puppy is a bit of a mystery when it comes to her breed, but one thing is certain – she is as unique as they come!
Despite a rough start to her young life, Poppy has embraced her second chance and is now thriving. She is already showing incredible manners, surprising many with her gentle demeanour, especially for a puppy. Poppy is fantastic with kids, thanks to her calm nature – there's no jumping or nipping here. Her love for play extends to water, bringing joy-filled splashes to any backyard pool or beach visit, where she enjoys creating waves!
Poppy is also an enthusiastic learner, currently mastering the art of walking on a lead with eager anticipation. She enjoys the company of fellow canine friends and would be thrilled to have a dog buddy in her new home. However, she would also be content with being the sole furry companion to a human best friend. Poppy is food-oriented and motivated, so offering a treat makes training feel like a game to her.
Both an indoor and outdoor enthusiast, Poppy loves nothing more than a good dig in the backyard, hunting for the treasure of the earth. Chewing is another of her favourite pastimes, so providing her with plenty of chew toys will keep her delightfully occupied. At the end of a fulfilling day, this sweet girl loves to snuggle on the couch, soaking up cuddles from her beloved humans.
Whether indoors or out, Poppy's love and affectionate nature are ever-present, promising happiness and companionship to anyone lucky enough to welcome her into their home.
**PLEASE NOTE Poppy has sensitive skin and is best in a cooler climate and not in the hot sun
Poppy's ideal home:
- a cooler climate
- access to inside and outside
- lots of adventures and exercise
- lots of affection and love
- a dog friend would be fun, but not essential
- great with kids
- has been fine around the foster carers cat
- someone committed to ongoing training with her so she can be her best self
- secure fenced yard
Poppy is microchipped and fully vaccinated, and will be desexed at 6 months of age (this is covered in her adoption fee).
