About Possum
Hey there! My name is Possum - but don’t fear, I am definitely a greyhound! I do however bear a few similarities to my namesake: I am a gorgeous black little girl with the cutest whiskers and an inquisitive personality. I am still just a young pupper… and in fact only turned two on April Fool’s Day (not a joke, I promise!)
I haven’t been at Greysland very long and, although a little unsure of everything initially, I’m slowly starting to come out of my shell and each day showing the volunteers a bit more of my playful and affectionate side.
I'm a bit of a timid soul, so would benefit from an understanding and quiet home with a kind, gentle family who are prepared to be patient with me. I’m also a curious little critter and very interested in toys and treats so with some of those, as well as a bit of time and love, hopefully we’ll be besties in no time.
Although I'm quite happy meeting other dogs, I need some time to learn how to be a pet, so I think I'd do best in a home where I'm the only dog and I also get to have you all to myself.
So if you’re looking for a sweet little marsupial to complete your family (and I promise I don’t need my own treehouse), Possum is the name!
Interested?
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, please complete an application form here https://greyhoundrescue.com.au/apply-now/ so that the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue can get on the case.
Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!
All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
