About Rusty
*In foster care in Marrickville, Sydney*
To describe Rusty as laid-back is an understatement!
Known in his foster home as Mr Chill, he's an old soul in a kitten body - preferring to sit back and watch the world go by, but getting struck every now and then by irresistible urges to play! Any type of toy on the end of a stick is his favourite, along with his pink rattle mouse :) But once he's had his fun, he retreats happily to a box or open cupboard to observe his littermates' mischief-making.
When Rusty's not relaxing or playing, he enjoys following his humans around and keeping tabs on their housework, before curling up next to them (or on top of them) for a tummy tickle and nap.
Like all Maggie's pets, Rusty is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm hoping to find a quieter sort of home with adults only, or maybe with older children who I can trust to respect my space. That's really my only special requirement - all the rest is the usual stuff, like lots of love, cosy sleeping spots and toys :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Kitten-high!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't got any experience with kids, but chances are I'll do well with humans of any age who'll treat me kindly and not make too much noise.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Great for cats, I think! My siblings are awesome company, and I'm intrigued by the older cats in my foster home.
I haven't met any dogs at this stage.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
