About Dobbie
Introducing Dobbie!
Dobbie is a Dobermann x born approx 1st February 2022.
Dobbie was brought into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray and sadly no owner came forward to collect him.
Since being at the facility Dobbie has been incredibly affectionate with staff & volunteers. He's eager to please his owners & very food motivated, which will be incredibly helpful for his continued training.
Dobbie enjoys playing with toys, but is definitely more interested in human interaction. While he's still fairly young he isn't a boisterous boy & he takes his treats very gently.
*******Dobbie tested very well with other dogs & he's incredibly playful with them. We believe Dobbie would be suitable to live with another dog, or be a spoilt "only child". If you have a friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
*******Dobbie seems unfazed by cats & pocket pets. We believe Dobbie could be suitable to live with smaller animals if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Please note that our small animal testing is done through enclosures and we cannot guarantee how our animals will react to smaller animals running in front of them.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Dobbie will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Dobbie has shown no food aggression since being at the facility.
Dobbie's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration. Dobbie is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Dobbie is looking forward to meeting you & he is located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
