About Jimmy (On Trial)
Jimmy went on trial in his new home on 24/6/11. We have over 60 more dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au
jimmy is a 2 yo german shepherd x kelpie. He is one of the most easy-going guys you will ever meet! he loves everyone he meets and he especially loves socializing and playing with other dogs that he meets at the park. Being only 2 years old (approx) jimmy is full of wonderful puppy playfulness and is also very able to learn new tricks. Since coming in to care jimmy has learned to sit, shake hands, drop and stay! due to his highly intelligent breed, jimmy would also benefit from further obedience training and would also be the perfect candidate for agility classes. . . . Jimmy loves going for walks to the park and is particularly well behaved on the lead. He will sit and wait for his lead to be put on and does not pull on the lead. Being a cross between two very intelligent breeds jimmy will need to be walked at least once a day and will also need mental stimulation to keep him from becoming bored. Jimmy would be the ideal pet for a family with or without small children (he is a very gentle dog) and would be a great companion for another young dog who likes to wrestle and chase just as much as he does. He is currently in foster care with an australian terrier and a foxy mix and he spends endless hours chasing and playing with them. Jimmy has never shown any signs of aggression towards his fellow foster dogs or any of the new friends he meets at the park. . . . Jimmy spends his days outside playing with his foster brothers and sisters while his carer is away at work. Of a night, jimmy is happy to come inside and sit by the fire and watch some tv before being put outside in his kennel for the night. Jimmy is house trained and would be able to sleep inside, especially during the cooler months. . . . When jimmy first came into care he was very wary of loud noises and sudden movements and was very underweight. Now, after just a few weeks, jimmy 's coat is glossy and he is back up to a normal weight. He is also no longer frightened of loud noises and loves to meet new people. . . . Jimmy will need to go to a forever home with a decent sized backyard where he can burn off some energy while his new owners are away. He will also need to go to a home where he is truly part of the family and he won't be left alone for long periods of time. . . . Jimmy is a wonderful dog who has so much love to give and is very eager to please. . . Jimmy is in foster care in muswellbrook, nsw (past singleton, in the hunter valley), but his foster carers are able to bring him to newcastle any time during weekends if you would like to meet him. Jimmy is available for adoption interstate. For more information please phone keith on 02-6543-3382 or email amie on afry88@live. Com. Au. . . *** ==> please see more photos of jimmy at
