About Kira
Hello there. My name is Kira and I am a calm and gentle border collie cross who would love to be your best friend.
I came into foster care with my one week old pups after the police removed us from my previous home. I am one of the worst abuse cases my foster mum has seen, which is why I am so loving and grateful to the caring people around me. I am a loyal pooch, who will love you immensely, trust you implicitly, and be completely devoted to you.
I am a lap dog and just want to be loved. I soak up all the kindness I can in my new world. You may think that I am too big to be a lap dog, but I can fit on any lap, trust me!
I prefer to sleep in a bed on the floor rather than a crate, but I promise that I am very well behaved in my bed. I am a quiet dog, and due to my injuries, I have a very soft bark when I do feel the need to protect my people.
Being a mature girl, I am the calmest border collie you will ever meet. I am most content being around my person or other dogs. I am very social and have been in foster care with dogs of all ages and sizes.
You may believe that a dog who has been treated so badly in the past would have anxieties or trust issues. Believe me when I tell you, that I am so happy to be around people who care about me, that my past is long forgotten! I can now relax and enjoy life to its fullest.
I nearly forgot to tell you that I just love car trips and going on adventures. There is no shyness to me when I am out and about in the world! Do you enjoy getting out and enjoying life as much as I do?
Now my pups are ready to leave the nest, it's my turn to find a family who will love and protect me. Are you looking for love, loyalty, a best friend who will be by your side throughout the good times and the bad?
Come and meet me and find your soul mate.
Love, Kira.
