About Sapphire
Good day to you. My name is Sapphire and I am a true gem.
I am quite a regal dog. I am actually still only a pup, but I am more like a little old lady who just wants to lounge around, relaxing in the sun or chilling indoors.
I have outgrown those silly puppy behaviours you would normally expect of such a young pup and have been completely house trained since very young. To be honest, I have never had a toileting accident indoors!
I enjoy sleeping in my crate at night, particularly since my foster mum gives me a treat to take in with me.
I am a social pooch and get on very well with all of the dogs in my foster home. I am only a smallish girl, but I really enjoy playing rough and tumble with my enormous foster brother. I am also a snuggle buddy with the smaller old dogs in care with me.
I have been a big sister to many, many foster pups. It's kind of cute, because they see me as their mum and come straight up to me for comfort when their siblings aren't playing nicely with them.
I must admit though, that, in pei fashion, I refuse to sit when I am told to. Oh, I know what I am being asked to do, and I always sit while my dinner is being prepared for me, but the excitement of food is just too much for me to be patient and sit again!
I arrived in foster care with my four sisters. They were all adopted very quickly because they were quiet and shy. I am a confident pup and will go directly up to new people for pats and ear rubs with no inhibitions. I know that can be as unusual for a shar pei as being very dog social, but that's just who I am.
Are you looking for a sociable pei who you can take anywhere with you? I enjoy going on outings and love the beach. If you are looking for a confident and well mannered companion like me, where have you been all this time? I have been waiting for you!
Love,
Sapphire.
