About Tonto
Every Greyhound Has a Story…
Assisted Rehome-
Tonto is sill waiting for his next forever home and ready to write his next chapter — full of cuddles, cheese, and couch time. 🖤🛋️
At 5 1/2 years old, Tonto is a sleek, black beauty with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s affectionate, a little cheeky, and 100% ready to find his forever people.
🐾 Who is Tonto? Let’s break it down:
🛋️ Couch King – Tonto takes lounging very seriously. He’s perfectly content snoozing to the sound of Triple M while you’re out for the day, as long as he gets his 20-minute morning walk to start things off right.
🚶 Walk Time = Joy Time – He lives for his walks. Watch him bounce like a puppy when he sees the lead! He can be a bit excitable at first, but with consistency, he settles into a lovely walking rhythm.
🧀 Cheese Detector Extraordinaire – Asleep upstairs? Doesn’t matter. If you so much as touch the cheese, Tonto will appear. You’ll never snack alone again. Ever.
💞 Lean On Me – Tonto’s version of affection? A classic greyhound lean. It’s his way of saying, “You’re my human now.”
🌟 He’s the perfect mix of chill and charm, and while he loves his independence, he’ll always be up for a snuggle (especially if cheese is involved).
🏡 Tonto’s ideal home:
• A loving person or family who understands the greyhound way
• Someone who appreciates both the quiet moments and his goofy quirks
• Bonus points if you’re a fan of long walks and comfy couches!

Adoption details
All BTG greyhounds are Desexed, C5 Vaccinated, Wormed & Heart Worm treated prior to adoption.
They have been fostered for a minimum of 8 weeks to allow maximum training and preparation for home life.
A post adoption trial period of 4 weeks is available to help families decide if the greyhound is the right one for them.
We also offer Foster to Adopt options for those who love the idea of teaching a greyhound in their home with the view to adopt it once it has "graduated" to Home Life status. This is a wonderful experience, to watch it blossom in your own home with your guidance and love. An ideal way to make sure this is the perfect dog for you.
