About Penelope
Penelope is a dainty little girl who has grown up in a busy bustling household. Not too much fazes her! She's happy to be picked up and cuddled by the kids in the household and be carried around by them.
She loves playing with the kids and other humans in her household, and with her brothers.
She loves checking out what's going on from somewhere up high and ruling over it all like the queen she is named for.
While she loves being around people, she's also happy to spend some quiet time on her own. She'll often take herself off to a quiet corner of the house for a nap away from her brothers and the rest of the hustle and bustle.
Sometimes she can be a bit unsure about new people, but once she gets to know you she will rule over you and your heart!
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
