A dog to warm your tootsie’s? Meet Tootsy!
Hi, I’m Tootsy and I’m looking for a loving home where I can share all my affection and energy!
My name means "sweetheart" or "darling" and it’s the perfect fit because I’m all about cuddles, love, and fun! It’s actually a playful, nursery name for a small foot, but I promise I’m anything but small when it comes to spreading joy.
I’m a friendly girl who gets along with everyone. I’m great with older kids (though I haven’t been tested with little ones, I think with the right exposure I’d do just fine!).
I also love other dogs and have been known to get along with cats—just as long as there’s supervision, of course!
My favourite things include playing with balls, rope toys, and snuggling up for a cuddle. I’m
always excited for meal time, and I’m a very well-mannered pup when it comes to sleeping in
my crate.
I’m also toilet trained and learning new things all the time—like sitting and shaking hands (I’m a fast learner!).
Being a Kelpie, I’m super smart and need plenty of mental stimulation to keep me happy. I thrive with training, socialising, and interactive toys. I’m also a very active girl, so physical exercise is a must—whether it’s a walk, a run, or some playtime in the yard, I’m always ready to burn off some energy!

affection, I might be the perfect fit for your family.

If you are interested in finding out more about the dogs we have in care, please go to our website at http://www.dustypawsdogrescue.com/adopt and fill in an adoption form.
* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we don’t have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
