Meet Toby – Your New Furry Companion!

Are you searching for a cuddly, affectionate, and devoted companion?

Toby, a charming 7-year-old Kelpie, is eagerly seeking his perfect forever home!

Toby adores being close to his humans and is happiest when snuggled up with his favourite people. He's gradually becoming calmer with age but still requires plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. His forever family will have time to enrich his life with mental and physical stimulation.

He is content to be left alone for a few hours, though only if he has been properly exercised.

Toby is very dog-friendly but would also be comfortable as the only dog in the household, if he has some human company.

This intelligent boy knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake" and has excellent recall once he has built trust with you. He is food motivated and responds well to ongoing training. Additionally, he walks politely on the lead and has mastered trotting alongside his foster parents during their runs.

Toby has a particular fondness for the beach and enjoys frolicking in the sand and surf. However, when the weather turns stormy, Toby
becomes fearful and we recommend keeping him inside when a storm is coming.

Toby is making progress learning not to jump up when excited, so older children would be a better fit. He is not suitable for households with cats. Tony needs secure fencing.

Toby is currently located in foster care in Merewether, NSW, and is available for adoption in NSW, Qld, ACT and Victoria (No Flights). Toby's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
