About Periwinkle

If you're a cat lover you will find this little gentleman totally irresistible! Periwinkle is a 3+ year old tabby with tiger markings and immense warmth.
He is sweet, affectionate, confident, curious and absolutely loves people.
Peri was well loved by his previous owner but sadly they became unwell and could no longer look after him, so they made the painful decision to reach out to us to find him a new home. He comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give in return.
Periwinkle is super smoochy and he enjoys his special time on your lap. If you are on the phone he will demanded that you put that down as he peers into your eyes and gives you a nose kiss. He’s happy once mission has been accomplished.
He has a quirky, funny meow that almost sounds like ‘Hello’ and which he uses when he wants to come inside. He loves being talked to and is you say ‘Hello Peri’ he will be thrilled and talk back.
He’s used to living as an inside/outside cat but has adapted to his indoor only foster home just fine. The only time he would really go outside in his previous home was to lie in the sun during the day and hunt mice at night.
Peri came with an adorable chair and sheepskin blanket, almost like a throne, which he loves to sleep on, but he's also a fan of snoozing on the bed with you if you'll let him.
He was named Periwinkle because he looked like a tiny stripy beach shell by the same name.
He’s a handsome young man with a great personality and a gentle nature. And he might look like a big boy but he's really still a baby at heart who loves his cuddles.
Perwinkle is used to living with other cats but has not been tested around young children. But I doubt this would be an issue as he has a very relaxed and calm way about him.
Peri would be prefect for almost any situation. He is filled to the brim with unconditional love and just wants to be loved in return.

Periwinkle is approximately 3.5 years old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward. The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are a good fit for the cats needs and personality. From there we arrange a meet and greet at the soonest possible time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
