Meet Leo: The Sweet Senior Who Just Wants to Be Loved!
Looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will fill your home
with love and joy? Leo is a wonderful senior dog ready to find his
forever home! He’s a true cuddlebug who adores human company and is
happiest when by your side.
Here’s what makes Leo so special:
• Affectionate and Gentle: He thrives on attention and affection, and
will happily join in on any pats going around – even if they’re aimed at
his foster sibling!
• Tennis Ball Enthusiast: He’s still got some playful spirit left and
loves to chase tennis balls – it’s a great way to bond and have fun
together.
• Household-Friendly: Though he’s still getting the hang of full house
training, he’s a good boy at heart and has only had the occasional
accident.
• Easy to Love: Leo is super friendly and gets along well with his
foster sibling, showing kindness and warmth in all his interactions. So far
Leo seems to be a real gentleman with cats.
• Walks Well, But Needs Some Space: He’s great on walks but can be
reactive around other dogs – he likes to voice his opinion with a little
bark. We are working with Leo on his socialization so he doesn’t react
and makes new friends instead. His new family will help to continue this
training so he can be more chilled when out and about.
• Comfortable Alone Time: Leo is very content with his human family, but
he also doesn’t mind being left alone for periods of time – his foster
family has seen him lounging comfortably while they’re out.
Leo is looking for a peaceful, loving forever home where he can settle
into a cozy routine and enjoy the company of his humans and a calm
canine buddy. If you’re ready to offer him the love and care he
deserves, he’ll be forever grateful!
If you think Leo could be the perfect addition to your family, please
get in touch! He’s ready to share all his love and affection with the
right family.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Weight: 5.2kg.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
