About Skittles
Meet Skittles, a sweet-natured Red Heeler youngster with a loving heart and an adorable little stumpy tail just perfect for wagging.
Taking after his gentle mum, aptly named Sweetie (pictured), Skittles has an affectionate and friendly disposition. We don't know anything about his dad.
Skittles has a strong people focus. Loyal to the core, he is keen to form a lasting bond with his humans. He absolutely loves children of all ages.
He's also very dog-friendly, but don't ask him to be friends with cats, poultry, pocket pets or livestock.
Skittles enjoys training sessions and exploring new environments, always eager to learn and participate.
He has the exuberance of a puppy and loves to burn off his abundant energy in the company of a like-minded canine buddy.
Skittles is house-trained, travels well in the car, and responds to basic commands.
His recall is coming along nicely but can be patchy if he gets distracted by something super interesting. Having said that, he’ll never let you leave him behind. He loves his humans too much.
He walks nicely on a leash.
Cattle dogs like Skittles are bred to be both assertive and independent, yet they possess a deep capacity for creating strong, devoted bonds with their human companions. Skittles embodies these traits and would be an ideal match for anyone looking for a loyal, protective friend.
The ideal home for Skittles has secure fencing, an energetic canine buddy for him to play with and/or an active human around most of the time to be his close companion.
