I am Casper. When I first came into rescue I was such a sorry sight. Skinny as, my coat had the texture of straw, and when you looked into my eyes they were haunted by all that I had been through. My condition broke my foster mum’s heart. I remember my foster mum said to me “ Casper, we are going to take away that sadness , and those green eyes will soon shine like emeralds”.
So it began, the road to recovery. When you understand that you are safe and cared for, you breathe easier, little by little. I forgot what it meant to be hungry , and my body began to fill out. My coat started to shine, and became soft as silk. Silver Lining got my dental done so my pearly whites are dazzling. My heart that had been filled with pain and fear felt contentment and lightheartedness.
Now my days are spent seeking out the best place on the bed, who can I find to snuggle with, and how many chin scratches and head to toe body pats will I be able to get in one day.
My old life is now so far behind me I don’t recall it at all. I am so so ready to continue my life, to become part of a family, to be cherished. My stunning green eyes do truly now shine like emeralds. Let them shine for you.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
