We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Mushu sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!

If you’re someone who knows how to care for a cat with a few extra needs and will maintain the lifestyle I’m used to, we’re already off to a great start!

I’m a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and being part of the action. Whether I’m following you around the house, keeping an eye on your daily tasks, or finding the best spot to nap nearby, I always like to be involved. I enjoy pats, but on my terms—I’m an independent guy who loves affection but also appreciates my personal space. My silly antics and cheeky nature will keep you entertained, and my adorable habit of sleeping on my back with my tiny tongue sticking out is sure to make you smile.

I currently live with an older British Shorthair, and while I have way more energy than she does, I’m very respectful of her boundaries. I know when to play and when to give her space, so if you have another cat, I’d do best with a friendly companion who enjoys a bit of fun. As an indoor-only cat, I have my daily routines—morning explorations, afternoon sunbathing, and evening zoomies before bedtime. A home where my people are around often would be ideal!
