About Dexter
Dexter is a super sweet and affectionate kelpie who loves a pat and a cuddle. His happy go lucky nature makes him a pleasure to have around and will bring his new home so much joy and happiness.
Dexter loves to run around outside with his goofy long legs and perform stock-takes of his toys each day by collecting them and piling his favourites into one spot.
Prior to coming into care Dexter did not have much training. He is however a very quick learner and will be a super start in no time. He is currently working on his basic training and needs a home that will continue this. He is also very timid and is working on his confidence around people and in new environments. Dexter walks well on lead and has already shown he can check in with his master. Dexter is easy to travel in the car, bath and have his nails trimmed.
Dexter is great with other dogs and would suit an experienced home where there is an another dog of a similar breed to show him the ropes and share playtime with. Being a kelpie Dexter has high energy levels which will require a large backyard and time from his new owner to work on his training. He is a pure sweetheart to have around and will flop onto your lap to provide never ending cuddles and kisses.
Dexter is located in NSW.
