About Diego
Meet Diego, the sweet little pocket pet with a heart full of love and a desire for companionship. He might be small in stature, but Diego is big on affection once he's comfortable and feels safe with you. At first, he might seem a bit shy, but just give him a moment to warm up, and he'll quickly become an affectionate friend.
Diego's favorite place is right by your side—ideally carried around and assured by your presence. He's been good with dogs his size and even seems to get along well with cats, making him a flexible addition to households with existing pets. His quiet nature is offset by his love for gentle pats, treats, and affection, and he thrives on those loving interactions.
This sweet little man is searching for a calm and loving environment to call home. Diego would do well in a household that understands his timid nature and gives him the space and time he needs to adjust. Reward him with a few treats, and you'll find yourself looking into the adoring eyes of a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be cherished and love you in return. Medical notes
Deigo had repair of grade 4, patella luxation in his left leg. He will still need to be monitored with his exercise while this continues to heal.
He has mild alopecia along his back and has been treated with flea products and baths. This will all need to be monitored.

Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
