Jazzy, the 1 year greyhound

Hi, I am Jazzy! I am a young and beautiful pup who was lucky enough to leave the racing industry before even starting! They said I was too slow, but I’m not sure what that means because I am really fast – especially when I race from one dog bed to the next!

My foster mum says I’m lucky, and I feel that way too because now I live with three other greyhounds and a whippet! One of them is my age, and we love playing bitey face and tug-of-war with all the toys I have now.

As much as I have energy, I also sleep a lot like a true greyhound. My favorite position is the roach – all four legs in the air. This must be what retirement looks like!

I sleep through the night and wake up around 6:30-7:00 am. This is such an exciting time and I run to the yard to toilet and have some zoomies with my foster siblings. It is so much fun!

After that, I often wonder why mum gets back into bed. Actually, I know why – because it’s snuggle time! I had no idea humans love to cuddle, and guess what? I love it too! So, I jump into bed with her and the other pups to rest and relax with lots of scratches. This must be heaven! I am so glad I found this place.

I am toilet trained and walk “okay-ish” on the lead – this is new to me. I never had to do this before, but I am learning to stay beside my foster mum, even though everything smells so good and I want to explore! I have met a few other dogs and they intrigue me. I had no idea there were other breeds than greyhounds! I am quite a submissive girl; if a dog comes too close, I just fall onto my back and let them have a sniff.

Now, about my wish list! Honestly, I am such a happy girl and just want to find my best friend! Right now, I have a garden and doggy friends, and I love it. However, if you don’t but have lots of love and playtime ready for me, I am absolutely willing to compromise!
