About Mac
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A home with a backyard for zoomies
Meet Mac, the goofy brindle who gives the biggest hugs!
Mac loves to be the centre of attention and enjoys socialising with anyone he meets. He shows his love by standing extremely close to where you are (personal space is not on his agenda – sorry) and leaning in for a big greyhound hug. If you ever stop patting Mac, he will tap you with his paw and politely ask for more.
Mac makes the silliest groan when he gets his daily dose of ear scratches and ever so often, he will let out a big moan when he is fully relaxed on his bed. He also shows he’s content by breathing with his mouth so his cheeks flap in and out a bit – he is a total goofball and adorable in every single way!
Mac would prefer to live in a home with a small enclosed outdoor area as he loves to zoom around in the morning, bask in the sun, and splash water around in his shell pool. He enjoys a good sniffari and is happy with one or two short walks each day. Mac walks well on the lead and has been friendly and polite when meeting leashed and unleashed small dogs on his walks. He is not bothered by busy streets or loud trucks he encounters on his walks. Mac is currently practicing how to jump into the car (getting out is easy as pie) and currently needs a boost up to get into the backseat. He is becoming more confident walking up and down flights of stairs at the local park, and with further training, can live in a home with stairs.
Mac is currently living with another greyhound in his foster home where he happily shares his toys and bed. He spends most of the day snoozing when his humans are out. With a bit of practice, Mac may be suitable to full-time workers. He is toilet trained and stays off furniture at his foster home, though Mac would love to snuggle with his human on the couch.
If you're ready for a loving companion who'll bring joy and laughter into your life, Mac is the perfect match!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
