Pisces (known as Rufus in his foster family) is described as a big gangly dog full of fun. He is a big pup and has a big heart to match. He has a super friendly, personable nature, is smart with a cheeky streak, and just wants to stick by his humans wherever they go and whatever they are doing. Rufus is fostered in a family home with older kids and a female dog. He can be a little nervous at times with strangers or situations he is unsure about, so tends to stick by his family members, but with lots of walks, outings to the outside world and introductions to people and friendly dogs, his courage will increase. He is definitely not a runner! Rufus has nearly fully mastered toilet training, even overnight; he just has the odd accident if left inside a little too long between toilet breaks. He knows to sit on command and to wait for his dinner. This sweet boy is very playful and loves to find something and bring it to you: a ball, a kid's teddy, a peg or stick etc, and is super proud showing off his finds! As with many pups of his age, he is a little bit of a chewer, but nothing unmanageable - a good supply of good chew toys will help.
Rufus loves his foster family's dog and is always up for a run and chase with her and/or the family kids (youngest 12). He is pretty good on the lead, just needs more practice, which his daily walks with his new owner should provide. He rides pretty well in the car especially with a passenger to sit with, although is best behind the cargo barrier or on back seat with a passenger or he may attempt to assist the driver!
Rufus is a very loyal boy who would make a great family dog - his carer says he reminds her of Scooby Doo!
Pisces (Rufus) is a Bull Arab mix who looks like he will be a pretty large dog when full grown.
lf you think this beautiful guy is a great match for your home and lifestyle, please follow the instructions above to apply.
Note that if renting, we may request proof of permission to keep a dog at your property. Please ensure that all members of your household are on board with adopting a young dog, before filling in an enquiry form.
