About Ginger Meggs
Ginger Meggs requires the following in his new home:
- Another desexed dog in the home (not senior).
- People home often during the day.
- A family willing to continue his training.
- To be allowed inside when his people are home and to sleep inside of a night.
- A secure yard.
Ginger Meggs loves hanging out with his people and playing fetch with balls and toys.
He would do best with someone home often during the day and living with another desexed dog. He can get a little stressed when left alone for long periods of time. He is very smart, willing to please and will follow you everywhere and always wants to be a part of what you are doing.
Ginger Meggs came into foster care with no education and has learnt so much in a short time. He will sit, come on command, turns, drops, stands for treats, and waits patiently for his food, he has also started heeling, stay and crate training . He learns easily with treats and vocal commands.
Ginger Meggs is very friendly with people and will seek out a pat from anyone. He has only been around young children on occasions while he was on lead but he appeared to enjoy their company, he would love the company of older children with dog experience and love of adventure and would be the perfect pairing for this little guy.
Ginger Meggs was an absolute star at the vets and the vets gave him a thumbs up for his great personality. He’s very healthy, with lovely soft shiny coat and bright attentive eyes.
He has been given his booster vaccine and given Simparica TRIO dog chews
monthly for fleas, ticks and worms.
Ginger Meggs walks on a training slip lead (will come with him). He may pull on occasions but with gentle reminders and treats for being a good boy he is easy to walk. He travels well in the car with a harness seat belt and likes visiting new places.
Ginger Meggs is toilet trained but needs regularly access to outside. He has access to a few sleeping spots inside the house and likes to rotate on different beds and mats. He has made his way onto the human’s bed at night and loves to snuggle in. He
waits patiently in the mornings to be let outside and rarely barks at anything.
At night his favourite thing is to lay near you, on you, beside you, or around you… he
just loves to be loved. He has the sweetest little face and not a mean bone in his
body.
Ginger Meggs has shown he likes to chase chickens so he needs a home with no small animals.

Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy.
