Basil is a 10-year-old sweetheart with a big smile that he shares with everyone he meets. He’s a happy-go-lucky boy who loves life, especially when it involves his favorite things: swimming, playing with his ball (especially while swimming), and snuggling up with his people.
This lovable guy gets along with dogs of all sizes and has been fine around chooks and cats, though he’s not suited for a home with livestock—he has a bit too much fun chasing them, likely a habit from his past. Basil was found alone in the bush and went unclaimed at the pound late last year, but now he’s ready for a new chapter as a smoochy, laid-back companion.
Basil is great on the lead and would love a family that can give him daily walks and lots of affection. He thrives on being close to his humans, whether it’s lounging around, joining in on a barbecue (he’s very polite about it!), or simply hanging out in the backyard.
