Hi, I’m Doug! I may be a little dog, but I’ve got a big heart and have been working hard to overcome some big changes in my life.

I’ve been putting in a lot of effort with my training over the past few months, and now I’m ready to find my perfect forever home.

I get along well with dogs of similar size, especially those who are non-dominant, and I would appreciate a meet-and-greet with any potential dog siblings. I’m not suited for homes with cats or small pets.

I absolutely love playing ball! I might not always bring it back, but it’s still one of my favorite games.

Right now, I live with older children, and while I do well with them, I’d be best in a home with no young kids or just older ones, as I’m still working through some fears.

I’m a champion leash walker and love going on walks. I’ll need a secure, safe yard and access to the indoors. I sleep comfortably in my crate—it’s my safe space. I might take a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I’ll be a loving companion.

My ideal home would be with someone who’s retired or works from home, someone who can go at my pace, continue my training, and help me thrive.
