About Alfie
Hi, I’m Alfie! I am equal parts sweet, loving and cheeky and can’t forget absolutely adorable.
I’ve come a long way from a rough start and have been working hard to learn how to be a dog. My training is going really well, and I’ve been excelling in it.
Lately, I’ve been focusing on my social skills, and I’ve shown that I’m great with other dogs. I’ve been tested with different personalities, including dominant males and females, and I’m respectful of all of them. I always back off when other dogs tell me to.
When it comes to play, I love wrestling, my speciality is my body slam! Because of this, I’d do best in a home with a dog that’s similar in size and energy level since I’m still figuring out my own size.
As a typical husky, I can also be very mouthy, both with humans and other dogs. However, I’m learning to respect when I’m told to back off, and I’m starting to listen to those cues too.
I am absolutely perfect with children of all sizes. I would love a home with kids, however remember that supervision is always necessary with dogs and kids, especially when I'm in a silly, playful mood.
I’m not suited for homes with cats, birds, or pocket pets.
I’m very energetic and love to play! I’m always on the go and don’t like sitting still when I’m in play mode. Zoomies are my thing—I sometimes run around with a toy in my mouth, having the time of my life. I am also happy to lay in the sun between playtime, I need my beauty sleep of course.
I’ve got strong Husky traits and can be a bit stubborn at times, especially because I get easily distracted. But I respond well to training when treats are involved.
I need a strong, confident leader to help direct my energy and keep it focused so it doesn’t get out of control. I have already come so far with my training and have shown great successful results. With that said, my foster family tell me I'm one of the best dogs they have ever fostered! How's that for a compliment!
I absolutely love my crate! I happily settle in at bedtime and stay quiet throughout the night.
I will also require a home with secure 6ft fencing at a minimum.
