About Charlie
Meet Charlie, an adorable 1½-year-old Chihuahua with a heart full of potential and a desire to trust and love. This little guy is on a journey of transformation, slowly gaining confidence and learning to appreciate the kindness of the world around him. While Charlie doesn't yet tolerate a lead and collar, patience and the right guidance can help him stride toward new experiences with enthusiasm.
Despite his cautious demeanor, Charlie has a hidden sweetness waiting to emerge. He has slowly warmed up to friendly faces that he sees each day, offering glimpses of the devoted companion he's destined to become. Charlie loves the company of dogs his own size and would thrive with a little doggy friend to play with or learn from. In spite of his small frame, he shows no interest in cats and happily shares his space with them.
A calm, patient, and understanding home is just what Charlie needs to feel safe and secure. His new family will need to be dedicated to working with him on his fear aggression, allowing him the time to blossom at his own pace. Soft treats are his favorite, and they'll be a wonderful way to reinforce positive interactions and training achievements.
In the end, Charlie promises rewarding companionship to those willing to embrace his journey. So, if you have a big heart and a little dog needing a companion, Charlie might just be the perfect match!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
