About Johnny Rotten
Meet Johnny Rotten, the 9-month-old Punk Rocker Kelpie x German Shepherd mix who's about to take Bendigo by storm as the lead singer of The Pound Punks.
While Johnny's stage persona might scream anarchist and rebellion, in reality, he's a big-hearted pup with a love for the simpler things in life. Off-stage, Johnny is as sweet as they come, always eager to spend quality time with his family and friends, including welcoming younger groupies aged 6 and up to hang with him.
Johnny's ideal home includes a canine companion who can handle the rock 'n roll lifestyle. (bonus points if they can play the drums!). A doggy bandmate that can match his energy and vibe would be a perfect fit for this rising star.
This boy loves attention and thrives when he's the center of it-whether he's signing paw-tographs for fans at the local dog venues or practicing his performance skills, he's always improving his showmanship, eager to learn and improve. A real crowd-pleaser, Johnny has the passion and dedication to training his craft, but he also values his downtime, enjoying relaxed evenings watching videos of rehearsals with his family.
Johnny Rotten is ready to bring joy and rock 'n roll energy to your home. He's super loyal, loves being part of the action, and will do anything for a bit of love and attention. If you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts rockstar and cuddle buddy, Johnny's your dog!
Would you like to welcome Johnny into your band of misfits and make him part of your family?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
