About Elsa
Introducing Elsa a petite nine month old stock coated female German shepherd with a heart full of love and a spirit brimming with playfulness. Elsa is learning to enjoy life and regain her trust and confidence.
You see Elsa came into our care after being found with her fellow siblings roaming the streets of the Hawkesbury area.
As you could understand Elsa was fearful and needed reassurance. So with love and careful handling Elsa went from a reticent dog to a playful and affectionate puppy.
Elsa’s zest for life shines brightly, and she is ready to become a cherished member of your family.
Her ideal family will need to continue with her loose lead training and maintaining boundaries. Elsa knows her “bed” command, recall is excellent and to be social with her fellow rescue dogs
We can see her being a playful friend for a like minded male dog of similar size.
Elsa has been around chickens and ducks but is not yet tested with cats or pocket pets.
Elsa will require an experienced German Shepherd owner who will place structure in her life and continue with the training she has received over the last few weeks.
Elsa is currently located at Willow Tree, NSW and is available for adoption in NSW, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making her a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet Elsa. Should she, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing her back to Willow Tree or helping us rehome her from your home.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the commitment to give Elsa a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Elsa” and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
