About Sweetpea
In December 2024 we received a frantic phone call from a pound to take in a heavily pregnant cat that was due to be euthanised, due to them having no capacity as they were inundated with cats & kittens. We usually rescue and rehome senior & high-needs cats but we knew we had to help this cat and save her & her kittens from that unthinkable fate. We put out the call to our fabulous supporters on social media for help to pick up this cat & drop her to us at Erina Heights. One of our wonderful supporters came forward and picked up this beautiful cat and dropped her to our care. We named her Sweetpea. Within 2 hours of being in our care Sweetpea gave birth to 4 gorgeous kittens.
She is the most beautiful, gentle, affectionate & playful cat. She has been an incredible mum to her kittens and is now desexed and the time has come for her to find her forever home.
We don't know much of her history but we're hoping to help her future, which is where you come in.
Sweetpea needs a patient, loving owner who will give her the love, safety & security she deserves for the rest of her life. She is best suited to a home with no dogs.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
You need to be a pretty special cat person to adopt an elderly cat into your home. Not as sprightly as a kitten they still require your attention…even devotion. You’ll need to understand their daily routines and take some time to get to know them. Help them with grooming – a great way to bond- as they often don’t have the energy to do it properly themselves. Older cats are stress averse so be patient, observant and take a little more care of their health needs and you’ll soon have a loving companion.
All our cats have received a full health & wellness check and are ready for their new home.
