About Rue
It's now time to start searching for the perfect fit for our sweet natured Rue. A beautiful Catahoula x that was born blind but with full strong hearing. She does seem to have the ability to see light through her eye folds.
Rue is searching for a committed and patient owner who is experienced or eager to learn the world of navigating with a blind dog.
This doesn't stop Rue from exploring the world and she openly shows to be an affectionate dog with both humans and other dogs.
She would do best in a home with another dog, one that is social friendly and patient however she may suit being an only dog with someone home most of the day and able to create a strong bond with her.
She has started learning her training but will need a home open to strengthening these elements.
She is able to map a household, navigate stairs and travels fantastically in the car. She isn't shy when it comes to loving on people but may be a little too much pup for young kids; so best suited to kids over the age of 10 who are confident with dogs.
Being so young, she could easily adjust to a home with dog savvy cats, or other varieties of animals.
She isn't a highly active dog and does like to snooze as using her other senses does make her extra sleepy.
We expected she'll be in the medium to large category when fully grown.
Located in the lower hunter valley NSW, she is ready to meet her forever fit now and is currently around 3 months old.
